Farmville

Farmville

There are many free games on the internet to be found on many sites (I have discovered many of them while I should have been trying to make money from home, but whatever). One game in particular seems to be taking the social networking world by storm and that is Farmville. This game is a fun little simulation game and is available to play through facebook. You own a farm and you have to make money and complete the various challenges to progress in experience and unlock further items and challenges. Pretty straightforward then.

Its simplicity is one of its biggest strengths and one of its biggest weaknesses. Anyone can play this game and I mean anyone. I don’t know of a player who has lost money playing this game (I mean the fake Farmville money when I mention the money by the way). The fact that you will be successful on this game has everyone playing it. Achieving success is always good, even if it is on a small simulation game.

The simplicity will keep more seasoned gamers away however, as there is really no challenge to this game. You can’t fail it seems and there is no end objective to achieve either. Content is always being added to this game to try and keep it fresh which will, of course, keep people playing it forever, but it gets very boring after a while as the game is unbearably repetitive.

The point is to grow different crops and sell them for money or gain money from the produce of farm animals that you can purchase. You can buy houses, barnyards, fences, pets, animals, trees, tractors and whole host of other farm related items, but for what reason, I have yet to understand.

For those looking for a bit of fun, then sure, go on Farmville, but, if you are after a challenge or you like your games to have a point to them, then stay away.
